At DMC Sinai-Grace Hospital, we are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team in the imaging services department.
Job Summary
The Radiologic Technologist will be responsible for performing diagnostic radiological exams utilizing appropriate imaging equipment. This includes verifying patient identity, reviewing medical records, and explaining procedures to patients.

• Interview patients to obtain and verify medical history and assess risk factors.
  
• Set up equipment and acquire images as per script, while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  
• Review images, make initial observations, and document exceptions from established protocols.
  
• Communicate data to radiologists and provide post-care instructions to patients.
  
• Participate in process improvement activities, including quality of care, patient flow, and reject-repeat analysis.
  
• Provide imaging education to residents, student technologists, and new employees.
  Requirements:
  Minimum Qualifications
  1. Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Radiography (R).
  2. Required to have or successfully complete American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BLS) training.
  Skills Required
  1. Analytical and clinical skills necessary to determine the most age-appropriate method of providing radiographs specific to patient's physical ability and/or limitations.
  2. Interpersonal and communication skills necessary to deal effectively with patients who may be under physical/emotional stress.
  3. Technical knowledge necessary to operate equipment, including specialized equipment and computers.
  4. Ability to work productively and effectively within a complex environment, handling multiple/changing priorities.
  5. Physical stamina for frequent walking, standing, lifting, and positioning of patients.
  6. Manual dexterity and visual acuity to operate and utilize all types of x-ray equipment and supplies.
